Powertec Power Rack System Review – Final Thoughts
written by Saro under Reviews and Rants, TrainingIt has been exactly a month since I last spoke about the Powertec Power Rack System, so it’s time for a quick final take on it. I have been training with it exclusively and love it to death. The whole thing is very sold, and I bumped into it a few times with the plates and bars… not a scratch has surfaced. I haven’t been able to use the lat attachments yet because of the low ceiling height, but I should have a summary of it in two or three months (when I move my setup to the garage). I have been squatting, benching (flat and incline), dead-lifting and power-cleaning for a month and I have no complaints whatsoever. The bench is sturdy and highly adjustable, and it hasn’t failed on me yet. I have done a few dips with the power rack and the thing doesn’t budge with my weight (all 180 lbs of me
). Yep, this thing is strong and durable, and I’m confident it’s going to last me a long, long time. Since I got it, I have always looked forward to going home and lifting some weights. Damn fine rack.

Hey, I was looking at purchasing a Powertec Power Rack myself and contacted Fitness Nutrition just a few days ago about it. They have some in stock. I was wondering what the website was you were referring to in the first part of this article where you managed to have them lower the price by 220$? I was given a price for the Power Rack with the Lat attachment of 1241,64$ including taxes. I was thinking of getting the bench as well, but I don’t need the Lat attachment for now. Any advice on how I should go about this? I will definitely ask them for a package deal since I will probably buy some Olympic weigths and bar. Thanks! And how’s the rack working for you so far?

Hello! The website I used to price-match the equipment was originally Powertec Canada but the website has been modified since then (due to legal reasons I hear). The new site is on Treadmill Factory which Fitness Nutrition knows them very well (one of the workers knows the owner of TF supposedly). Currently, I believe this is our only best competitor-comparison site out there. In any case, it should help you lower down the price considerably. If you also purchase the bench and lat attachment, you can definitely get a better discount. Just a note, you won’t get a discount on the weights because they’re pretty low to begin with… I tried, believe me.
The rack is amazing; it’s still very stable and hasn’t failed me since. I’ve been working out on it non-stop since I got it in February. I actually added the lat attachment 2 months ago (managed to make the whole thing fit in the low-level ceiling… don’t ask how) and it’s pretty stable. There’s a bit of resistance when pulling just so you know (when there are no weights added) but it’s still a solid attachment.
