A page dedicated about me? Wow! Okay, so here goes: I’m a 23 year old ex-student now full-time programmer/technician/computer-guy/etc. that works for my father’s company: Sarotech. Yes, it’s proudly named after me and I love working there (well, when I’m not dealing with asshole clients). I plan to take over the company in the near future if everything works out well. Right now, there is a lot of room for improvement and potential with Sarotech, so I’m trying to work things out and organize the whole ordeal from the ground up. I want the company to be known as a programming one rather than selling hardware (there’s little income in that field and everyone can fix computers).

I’m a big dreamer (hint: pursuing the American Dream) that wants a big house and a nice fancy BMW M5 in the driveway. I’m highly materialistic and love my electronic gadgets. A friend of mine once told me; “Saro, if you had unlimited funding, I bet your house would be full of gadgets… something new everyday.” This is true, as I love keeping up to date with tech: computer hardware, home theater, cars, car audio, phones (Sony Ericsson only!) and whatever that is fragile, geeky and expensive. I need more cash to buy some hardware though. :) Brand names such as Sony (TVs and camcorders only), JBL, Pioneer, LG and even Dell excite me (their laptops rock… I got a 700m).

I try to see things differently. I like to theorize about possibilities, even when they’re highly unlikely. I love studying human behaviour on my spare time (every stop and pay attention on how humans react?). It fascinates me how people react sometimes to a particular situation… I even analyze myself when I get the chance. I learn something new about myself everyday.

I enjoy creating websites. I think my current rate of coming up with a new site idea is 1 per week right now. I’m decent in Search Engine Optimization (who isn’t these days?) and working with PHP (I’m in love with CakePHP). WordPress owns me. My favourite server operating system is FreeBSD and if it supported all my web development applications, I’d run it as my main desktop. Too bad VMWare won’t make a workstation application for it, or else I’d purchase a copy in a heartbeat.

My favourite type of music is electronic. I’m talking about house (progressive ideally) and minimal techno. I’m highly enjoying Proton Radio these past few months… I’d stream the station in my car if I could. Electro is ok, but none of that Benny Benassi crap. Favourite artists: Tiga, Alter Ego, Ferry Corsten, etc. Drum & Bass is also very good; Bassdrive would be my favourite online radio station for some jungle beats. D&B artists I enjoy: Klute, High Contrast, London Elektricity. Finally, I crave for the after-hours scene… too bad I can’t stay up late like I used to, unless it’s a weekend. Besides electronic music, I totally dig Powerman 5000, Smashing Pumpkins, Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette and Nine Inch Nails. While I’m not too fond of rap/hip hop/R&B music, there are exceptions to the rule: Notorious B.I.G., Ludacris, Jadakiss, Young Jeezy and others.
